At this year’s CES fair, a four TV producers have announced that they support AirPlay 2. See which models here.
The CES fair has featured a wealth of news and one of them is the spread of AirPlay 2 – Apple’s wireless protocol for playing audio and video for various home devices.
Over the past 24 hours, four TV producers have announced that their latest TV supports AirPlay 2 – a version of the technology presented by Apple this summer after one year’s delay.
The first to announce new TV with AirPlay 2 was Samsung, which also got exclusive right to integrate iTunes into these. AirPlay 2 comes to Samsung’s 2018 and 2019 models via an update.
Next, Sony announced that the Z9G, A9G and X950G series will receive AirPlay 2 support later this year. Sony was followed by the American television producer Vizio, who, however, does not sell TV on the Danish market. All 2019 models receive AirPlay 2, and some SmartCast TVs from the manufacturer also receive AirPlay 2 during the second quarter.
Finally, there is LG, which also announced yesterday that the manufacturer implements AirPlay 2. The producer states that the streaming protocol will be available in all 2019 models.

So what can you do with AirPlay 2? It’s simply a protocol or technology that lets you stream audio, photos and video wirelessly from your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to devices that support AirPlay 2. It is also possible to share in addition to the above TV content for Apple TV and a wide range of smart speakers.
